    Why the City of London?

City of London buildings often mix listed fabric with modern fit-outs and have tight out-of-hours rules. We adapt our products to the surfaces and our schedule to the building manager.

City of London communal blocks come in two very different flavours, and a good cleaning rota has to handle both. The first is the period conversion above a shop or former counting house — stone entrance steps, timber stair-runs, plaster detail and a tight basement bin area. The second is the modern residential or serviced-apartment block found around Bank, Aldgate, Monument and Barbican — large glazed lobbies, lifts, brushed steel and basement bin-stores.

Our City team carries two product sets in the van for exactly this reason. On period buildings we use pH-neutral floor cleaner safe on original stone and timber, soft microfibre on plaster and timber detail, and never-pressurised water on heritage stair-runs. On modern blocks we use glass-specific cleaner for lobby glazing, brushed-steel polish for lift interiors, and pressure-washing for basement bin-stores where ventilation allows.

Every visit is logged with timestamped photos accessible to freeholders, RMCs and managing agents — useful evidence for service-charge accountability and for resolving complaints quickly. We work to rotations you set: typically weekly for lobbies and stairs, fortnightly for bin-store deep cleans, monthly for high-level detail like light fittings and door-tops.

Pricing is fixed per visit, fully insured (£5m public liability), no long-term tie-in. Consumables (hand sanitiser, bin liners, hallway air-freshener) are supplied at cost and invoiced through the service charge, or we can work with your existing supplier.

    Who this is for

    • Freeholders and RMCs managing residential blocks off Fleet Street, Aldgate and Monument
    • Managing agents for serviced-apartment and new-build blocks around Bank, Barbican and Tower Hill
    • Resident associations in EC2, EC3 and EC4 looking to upgrade or replace an underperforming cleaner
    • Mixed-use developments combining ground-floor retail with residential lobbies
